The FSA has published Handbook Notice 73. This Handbook Notice introduces the FSA Handbook and other material made by the FSA Board under its legislative powers on 28 February 2008. On 28 February, the FSA Board made changes to the FSA Handbook in three instruments which:
- Make changes to the Prudential sourcebook for Banks, Building Societies and Investment firms (BIPRU) to offer greater security in the capital treatment of firms offering lifetime mortgage products (FSA 2008/4).
- Rectify certain ambiguities in the UCITS Directive (FSA 2008/5).
- Make rules that require firms to record telephone conversations and electronic communications to deter market abuse (FSA 2008/6).
The FSA Board also approved the Financial Ombudsman Service making an instrument which made a minor change to the Dispute Resolution: Complaints sourcebook.
