TI publishes small bribes guide: TI has published a guide setting out principles and good practice for dealing with small bribes, including facilitation payments. The guidance sets out what TI considers to be small bribes and suggests a programme companies should put in place to show its commitment to countering them. It notes the challenges small bribes present to companies, not least as they often occur at times of operational vulnerability. But it stresses the consequences of not resisting requests. It also sets out its views on how companies can work together to create a culture of resisting such requests and says that some companies are now known for their "no bribes" policy and are no longer asked for payments. Among the steps TI recommends companies take are to train employees using model negotiation steps for resisting demands. (Source: TI Publishes Small Bribes Guidance)
