The Crown Court has ordered Michael McInerney, jailed for 4.5 years for his role in a boiler room share scam, to pay £320,882. Mr McInerney acted as banker to a scam operated by three individuals, whose syndicate defrauded around 1,700 investors out of £27.5 million. Tracey McDermott commented it was only fair his assets should be used to provide defrauded investors with some compensation for their losses. (Source: Court Orders Payment by Boiler Room Launderer)
