The Ministry of Health has released Guidelines on the Drinking Water Subsidy Scheme to assist both applicants and the Public Health Units of District Health Boards who provide advice and technical assistance. The guidelines set out the eligibility criteria for a drinking water subsidy, and provides information on the works that attract subsidy, the amount that can be granted for a project, how to apply for a drinking water subsidy, the contestable process used to assess applications for subsidy, and general terms and conditions and how the subsidy is paid to successful applicants. A copy of the guideline is available here and applications for the next subsidy round close on 28 February 2012.
