The Joint Money Laundering Steering Group (JMLSG) has announced that on 7 November 2007 its board had approved revisions to the JMLSG Guidance to reflect changes in the UK anti-money laundering regime to be introduced by the Money Laundering Regulations 2007 (the Revised Guidance). The Revised Guidance takes into account the comments received on the draft JMLSG Guidance that was published for consultation on 29 June 2007. The Revised Guidance has now been submitted to HM Treasury for approval by a Treasury Minister. When the Revised Guidance is approved by a Treasury Minister the JMLSG will make a further announcement. The Revised Guidance is to take effect from 15 December 2007, when the Money Laundering Regulations 2007 also take effect.
