The annual report on Telstra's compliance with its SSU was tabled in Parliament on 26 May 2014. The report outlines a number of occasions during the 2012-13 financial year where the ACCC considered that Telstra failed to properly secure wholesale customer information from its retail employees. The ACCC also considered that Telstra failed to introduce ADSL service enhancements to retail and wholesale simultaneously with the result that only retail customers were able to migrate to a better ADSL service and fewer line configurations were available to wholesale customers. The ACCC has since worked with Telstra to stop the conduct, minimise the damage and ensure that systems and processes are improved to prevent recurrence.
