On 11 July 2013, the Commission launched a public consultation on its Draft Notice on agreements of minor importance which do not appreciably restrict competition under Article 101(1) of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union (de minimis). The Draft aims at ensuring consistency with the recent ECJ case law according to which a restriction with an anticompetitive object constitutes, by its very nature, an appreciable restriction of competition which cannot benefit from the de minimis rule. Interested third parties are invited to respond to the Consultation by 3 October 2013.
