Through Legislative Decree No. 168-2015, which regulates the income of the public administration, an amnesty is being granted to condone the fines that apply to all non-profit/non-governmental associations that have not submitted the corresponding reports to their financial and annual activities for the year 2015.
The financial and annual activities reports of the non-profit/non-governmental associations must be filed before the Unit of Registry and Tracking of Civil Associations (URSAC by its initials in Spanish), the last day of February each year. The Secretary of State in the Ministry of Human Rights, Justice, Governance and Decentralization will facilitate the technological resources necessary for these associations to submit the required information online.
If the annual reports of the associations are not submitted before July 31st of 2016, the URSAC must proceed immediately to cancel their legal personality, in accordance to the regulations of the Special Law for the Promotion of NGOs.
