The Environmental Protection Agency denied a petition to reconsider January 25 the GHG emissions standards for model year 2012 through 2016 vehicles. The agency denied the Pacific Legal Foundation’s petition to reconsider the light-duty vehicle emissions rule because its concerns should have been raised during the public comment period. The agency also rejected the group’s argument that the rule must be reconsidered because it failed to seek a review from its Science Advisory Board, which the Clean Air Act does not require.
