With temporary funding bringing the longest government shutdown in history to an end, the National Do Not Call Registry is now up and running again.

The FTC is once again allowing consumers to register their numbers on the DNC Registry and allowing companies to download updated versions of the registry. Companies are, therefore, reminded to ensure that they download and scrub against the latest edition of the registry. This is particularly important given the temporary nature of the funding measure passed by Congress, which provides funding only until February 15, 2019, as there remains the possibility that a second government shutdown could take affect if a longer-term funding agreement is not reached by Congress and President Trump.
