The ICO has announced that it will review websites and apps used by children as part of an international project examining privacy issues concerning children’s data. The ICO will review 50 websites and apps and will focus upon what information the websites and apps collect from the children, the explanation provided for this collection and also what parental permissions, if any, are sought. A further 28 privacy enforcement authorities globally are also undertaking the process, with a view to publishing a combined report in autumn 2015. blogs/2015/05/ico-launches-review-of-childrens-websites-and-apps/
