The Chief Executive in Council has approved the Development Permission Area (DPA) Plan. The DPA Plan provides planning guidance to facilitate development control within the scheme area during the period required to conduct land use pattern analysis, infrastructural provisions study and development options examination.

The scheme area covers about 107.95 hectares of land. About 7.24 hectares is zoned to conserve and protect features of special scientific interest; about 0.29 hectares is zoned for residential developments; pending detailed analysis and studies, the usage of the remaining land has not yet been designated.
