The Arkansas Supreme Court has removed Faulkner County Circuit Judge from the bench after the judge posted online comments revealing information related to Charlize Theron’s 2012 adoption of a baby in his court.

The Court accepted the Arkansas Judicial Discipline Commission’s agreed lifetime ban of Judge Mike Maggio, but refused to compensate Maggie through the end of his 2014 term, instead opting to remove him from office immediately without further pay.

Maggio had allegedly been involved in other misconduct, but the lifetime ban relates to his actions online. According to the disciplinary panel, Maggio used the pseudonym “geauxjudge” to post comments about Theron’s adoption case in an online forum for LSU sports fans. When the blog forwarded posts to a website called the Blue Hog Report, which apparently forwarded the information to the Arkansas disciplinary authority.
