Whilst the outcome of the comprehensive spending review is keenly awaited to confirm if there is a future for Mortgage Rescue, there are many applications still to be completed before the deadline of 31 March 2011. All providers will need to ensure all outstanding applications are pushed through to make sure they are completed on time. Local authorities are now starting to refuse applications on the basis that they will not be completed before this deadline which may mean people who need help may not receive it.

All providers of Mortgage Rescue should consider the implications of the deadline and decide when the pipeline of cases should be stopped to ensure none are left uncompleted and if they are able to take on more cases should push the local authorities to keep referring applicants.
