The Securities and Exchange Commission announced February 22 the distribution of approximately $67 million to more than 16,000 investors in connection with McAfee, Inc. financial fraud settlements. Stamford partner Jeffrey Plotkin is the Distribution Agent in charge of distributing the funds. Stamford counsel Rosemary Barry has assisted Jeffrey since the inception of the Fair Fund.

The SEC v. McAfee, Inc. Fair Fund is comprised of payments made to the court by various entities and persons to settle SEC civil and administrative actions arising from McAfee, Inc.'s fraudulent scheme to overstate its revenue and earnings by hundreds of millions of dollars during the period of 1998 through 2000.
