The Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC or Commission) Consumer and Governmental Affairs Bureau (CGB or Bureau) seeks comment on issues to be raised in the biennial report required by the Twenty-First Century Communications and Video Accessibility Act of 2010 (CVAA). The CVAA requires a report to be submitted to Congress that includes: (1) the level of compliance with the CVAA’s accessibility obligations; (2) the extent to which accessibility barriers exist; (3) the effect of recordkeeping and enforcement requirements on deployment of new technologies; and (4) information about complaints received alleging violations of the CVAA. In attempting to compile an accurate report, the Bureau seeks comment on the accessibility and usability of telecommunications and advanced communications services, equipment used with those services, and Internet browsers built into mobile phones, for people with disabilities. The report must be submitted to Congress by October 8, 2020. The comment deadline is March 30, 2020.
