FSA has banned Simon Robins, Compliance Director of Chase UK Corporation Limited, for inadequate supervision of his firm’s operations. Because he did not ensure the firm complied with regulatory standards, gave suitable advice or had systems and controls effective for its mortgage advisory business, third parties used the firm to obtain mortgages fraudulently. The firm is in liquidation. FSA also banned the sole director of another firm after he was convicted of dishonesty offences and cancelled all permissions of another firm.
