Today the Department of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) invited 3,350 applicants with a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 454 or higher to apply for permanent residence.
The 3,350 Invitations To Apply (ITAs) issued in today’s draw brings 2019's ITA total to 17,850. An increase of 6,350 compared to this time last year.
This surge in ITAs is due to the IRCC’s increased targets for 2019 and 2020, we are hopeful that the IRCC will continue to increase the number of ITAs issued over the course of this year.
Today’s draw marks the 112th round of invitations since Express Entry came into force and with that, IRCC have applied it's tie-break rule with the time stamp of February 11, 2019 at 17:21:27 UTC.
This simply means that all candidates with a CRS score of 454 or higher, and those candidates with scores of 454 or above who have previously entered their profile in the Express Entry pool before the selected date and time, will receive an invitation in this round.
