CESR has published a call for evidence on mutual recognition with non-EU jurisdictions. It wants to:
- identify areas on which it should concentrate (it is particularly interested in trading venues, intermediaries and products including collective investment schemes);
- consider the benefits of mutual recognition;
- look at the similarities and differences in regulation and surveillance in the areas it identifies; and
- look at the good and bad points of different approaches in these areas.
It asks for evidence by 4 September.
