The schools are back and the holiday period is drawing to an end, but it won't be long before employees are starting to think about their next holiday.

In a recent e-bulletin, New Annual Leave Entitlement from 1 October 2007, we highlighted the changes to the Working Time Regulations 1998, which increase entitlements to paid statutory annual leave with effect from 1 October 2007 and 1 April 2009.

In some cases, these additional entitlements could give your employees more holidays than you intended. This will depend on the wording of your employment contracts.
