The Home Office has confirmed that individuals who are submitting a further leave to remain application within the UK should not submit evidence of their English language by way of a TOEIC or TOEFL test result.
Individuals who have already submitted applications with TOEIC or TOEFL results will be contacted by the Home Office and given the opportunity to re-sit another Secure English Language Test (SELT) with a different provider and to send the new results to the Home Office. Those individuals who decide not to sit another English language exam will have their applications placed on hold until further notice.
Please note that TOEIC and TOEFL tests taken outside the UK will remain valid for entry clearance applications submitted outside the UK.
