The single regulatory compliance mark (RCM) scheme began on 1 March 2013. This begins a 3 year transitional period with compulsory A-tick and C-tick marks being phased out by 1 March 2016. The move towards a RCM recognises that the differential labelling requirements for devices are becoming obsolete. By 1 March 2016, the compliance mark landscape will look very different with compliance marks searchable on a public database.
