In September 2012, Social Security issued a revised draft of the Discrimination (Jersey) Law 201-. Substantial changes had been made since consultation on this proposed legislation last took place in 2008. The Social Security Minister attended a number of meetings with interested parties during October and November 2012 and in December the draft legislation went to the Health, Social Security and Housing Scrutiny Panel.

A new revised version of the Draft Discrimination (Jersey) Law 201- was lodged on 15 January 2013 by the Minister for Social Security. He requested that this draft law be listed for debate in mid May 2013, with a view to implementation in the second half of 2014.
