UK action on CRD IV published: Details of an action brought against the EU by the UK in September 2013 to annul certain provisions of the fourth Capital Requirements Directive (CRD IV) have been published in the Official Journal of the EU. The UK objected mainly to measures on variable remuneration on several bases, including that the provisions had an inadequate Treaty legal base, were not proportionate, conflicted with data provision and privacy laws and granted powers to EBA and the Commission which were ultra vires.
