Argentina has committed to adopt the new global standards on information exchange, as set out in the OECD's recent Declaration.

The Declaration on Automatic Exchange of Financial Information in Tax Matters was approved on 6 May 2014 during the OECD’s annual Ministerial Council Meeting in Paris by all 34 member countries

Even though the Declaration does not establish a deadline for compliance with its objectives, it commits countries to implement a new single global standard on automatic exchange of financial information swiftly and to exchange that information automatically with other jurisdictions on an annual basis.

Argentina is not an OECD member but has nevertheless approved the Declaration and will participate in the information exchange commitments that it establishes, along with the OECD member countries and 30 other non-members.
