Last year, judges across Liaoning province handled nearly 5,750 IP cases last year, almost 5 times the amount in 2014, which was 1,840 cases. As such, according to the Liaoning High Court, the annual average growth has been greater than 25% over the last 5 years.  The increase in IP cases in court can be largely accounted for by the improvement in judicial protection and the concerted effort to increase public awareness of IP infringement and its consequences.
