On 25 April 2017, the Commission confirmed that on the same day it raided companies active in the mobile telecommunications sector in Sweden. The Commission suspects that the companies may have violated Article 101 TFEU (the prohibition of anti-competitive agreements) and Article 102 (the prohibition of abuse of dominance) by engaging in an anti-competitive conduct. According to the Commission, this conduct may have prevented new entry into the consumer segment of the Swedish mobile telecommunications market. The dawn raids were carried out together with the Swedish Competition Authority.

By raiding the companies, the Commission has now taken a preliminary step in investigating the suspected anti-competitive behavior of the companies in question. There is no deadline for the Commission to complete its inquiries. Source: Commission Press Release 25/04/2017
