JAMS, the largest private provider of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) services worldwide, is pleased to announce that JAMS neutral Cecilia H. Morgan, Esq., was recently selected to receive the Association of Attorney-Mediators’ Steve Brutsché Award. This award is the association’s highest honor and is named for its founder, the late Steve Brutsché, and is given from time to time, and not annually. Ms. Morgan was chosen to receive this award based on her high standards and her personification of the principles of service and commitment that are the foundation of the ADR movement.
“Congratulations to Cecilia for receiving this wonderful and well-deserved honor,” said Chris Poole, JAMS president and CEO. “We are pleased that she is being recognized for her commitment to ADR and the work she’s been so passionate about throughout her career.”
Ms. Morgan recently celebrated her 25th anniversary as a JAMS neutral and was actually the first non-judge panelist at JAMS. She is adept at reconciling the irreconcilable. Her cases are often hotly contested multi-party matters pending in multiple courts. She has conducted more than 2,500 sessions of civil cases and arbitrated more than 1,000 cases in Texas and 31 other states. She has over 40 years of experience as an attorney and ADR professional, and is a respected member of the JAMS employment, energy, health care and financial services practice groups.
