Further to our August update (available here), the Namibian Competition Commission (NaCC) and Tanzania's Fair Competition Commission (FCC) have unconditionally approved Telkom's ZAR 2.7 billion offer to acquire BCX. The proposed transaction was also notified to the South African Competition Commission, the Competition Authority of Botswana and the COMESA Competition Commission. However, these regulators have not yet made decisions regarding the proposed transaction.
