The conservative group, the Heritage Foundation, has published a study finding that only six percent of private-sector workers in unions actually voted to put the union in place. According to the study, in most cases the current workforce became employed at already unionized workplaces. A Heritage Foundation spokesperson further stated that the number of unionized workers in the United States, therefore, does not actually reflect the preferences and values of current American workers.
