A recent American Psychological Association Work and Well-Being Survey revealed that more than one-third of the 1500 employees it surveyed reported feeling tense or “stressed out” at work. The APA says that forward-thinking organizations can support their employees by reevaluating work practices, providing employees with resources that support wellbeing and performance, and applying new technologies in the workplace. It’s an important reminder that employees have lives and responsibilities outside of work. Employers can help employees by providing benefits that help them meet non-work demands. It’s no secret that happy employees are usually productive ones.
