FSA has banned Graham Darby for failing properly to control the business of his firm Ambrose Darby. It found Mr Darby did not conduct client money reconciliations nor understand the firm’s client money obligations. Its systems and controls did not manage client money properly. Mr Darby was diagnosed with a serious medical condition and did not seek help. FSA decided as a result it would ban him from significant influence functions. It petitioned for winding up the firm, which did not have the resources to operate without Mr Darby.
