FSA has published several decision notices relating to Arch cru. The notices cover Arch Financial Products LLP (AFP), Robin Farrell, AFP’s chief executive, and Robert Addison, a senior partner and former compliance officer at AFP. FSA decided to prohibit Mr Farrell and Mr Addison from performing any role in regulated financial services, to fine them £650,000 and £200,000 respectively and to issue a public censure to AFP instead of the £9 million it would have levied were it not for the firm’s financial position. FSA found AFP and the individuals paid insufficient attention to possible conflicts of interest, which resulted in significant risks to the CF Arch cru funds AFP managed. AFP and the individuals have referred the decisions to the Financial Services and Markets Tribunal. (Source: FSA Publishes Arch cru Decisions)
