The Belgian Council of Ministers has approved a tax information exchange agreement (TIEA) with Antigua and Barbuda.

The agreement allows for the exchange of fiscal information upon request and is based on standards set forth by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).

The Council of Ministers has also approved an agreement modifying an existing agreement with the Czech Republic.  That agreement will guide the two countries in their effort to avoid double taxation and prevent tax evasion.

The agreements will be submitted to the Federal parliament shortly for final ratification.
