On 4 March 2020 The Department of Business Development ("DBD") issued a notification outlining a measure to help businesses cope with the spread of Coronavirus disease (COVID19).

If a limited company, public company, trade association or Chamber of Commerce, is prevented from holding an annual general meeting (AGM) to approve the audited financial statements within the prescribed period, due to COVID-19, an explanation letter may be submitted with the DBD registrar stating the reason for such delay. The letter may be submitted after the meeting is subsequently arranged and held.1
