On 3 January 2008, The European Commission adopted a Communication on Creative Content Online in the Single Market (COM (2007) 836 final). With this document, the Commission “intends to launch further initiatives to support the development of innovative business models and the deployment of cross-border delivery of diverse online creative content services.” The communication indicates that the Commission remains focused on issues such as multi-territorial licensing, digital rights management systems and anti-piracy initiatives that are at the heart of the legislative programme of the European authorities.
