FSA has made changes to SUP in respect of:
- the CF1 and CF2 director and NED functions: these now include persons employed by unregulated parent undertakings or holding companies, whose decisions or actions the governing body of a firm regularly takes into account;
- CF29 to include within the significant management function proprietary traders who are not senior managers but who are likely to have significant influence on a firm;
- the extension of the controlled functions regime that applies to UK branches of overseas firms outside the EEA; and
- the extension of the requirements on firms to give reference to other firms to those in any controlled functions, not just customer functions.
