I've blogged previously on the consultation on the public sector equality duty. This consultation closed in November last year and the draft Equality Act (Statutory Duties) Regulations 2011 have now been published by the GEO.
These draft regulations detail the specific public sector equality duties and identify the public bodies to whom the duties will apply. The specific duties are designed to assist public bodies in meeting the general duties as set out in section 149 of the Equality Act.
The Regulations are due to come into effect on 6 April after being laid before Parliament for debate later this month. The link to the draft Regulations and GEO guidance can be accessed here.
Guidance has also been published by the Equalities and Human Rights Commission and can be accessed here.
