DigiMedia Tech, LLC v. Mediacom Communications Corporation, Civil Action No. 4:22-cv-00114-CDL (N.D. Ga.)
CommWorks Solutions, an affiliate of Georgia-based NPE IPInvestments Group LLC, has sued Mediacom Communications Corporation, the nation’s fifth-largest cable TV service provider, for alleged patent infringement.
In the complaint dated July 14, 2022, DigiMedia Tech, LLC alleges that Mediacom’s cable and internet services employ video technology patented by the plaintiffs. This technology purportedly performs such functions as improving the customer interface with Mediacom’s cable TV devices. The plaintiffs allege that Mediacom has infringed upon four of its patents (‘818, ‘568, ‘980, ‘778), each acquired from Intellectual Ventures LLC, and seeks damages in an amount to be determined at trial.
