Government tender

Victoria’s new anti-corruption watchdog is under the spotlight after a chain of damaging emails were discovered.

The emails allegedly expose an attempt by two senior Government workers to solicit a bribe from a private security firm and corrupt a Independent Broad-based Anti-Corruption Commission tender.

A spokesperson for the security firm claims that it was offered access to the tender process in return for up to $20,000. The contract was worth approximately $100,000.
