Celebrities have often been linked to philanthropy. Canadian rocker Tom Cochrane is the latest icon to be awarded for his contribution to charity. Cochrane will receive the Allan Waters Humanitarian Award on April 20, 2013.  See attached article for more details.

Bernie Potvin and Ross Weaver, two Canadians who belong to a team called “Old Guys in Action”, are auditioning for a spot on Amazing Race Canada.  Actively involved in various fundraising (and physical!) campaigns, Potvin and Weaver have pledged to give all of their winnings to charity.

It’s very inspiring to see Canadians from different walks of life eager and willing to support charity.

Way to go, Canada!
