The House of Lords EU committee is concerned about certain aspects of the Commission’s latest round of proposals. In particular, it says the Commission has not followed its own Better Regulation Principles in its AIFD proposal. It welcomed other proposals, including moves to set up colleges of supervisors, but noted the UK Government was at odds with many other EU governments on some issues. It stressed it is more important to get things right than to do them quickly.
