Increased investor confidence has resulted in inflows of over €40 billion into Irish funds.

On 19 June 2013, the Central Bank of Ireland issued statistics for Q1 2013 regarding Irish investment funds (“Funds”).

The total value of shares or units in issue (net asset value) by the end of Q1 2013 increased by 8.8% to €1,014 billion. This increase was partly due to increased investor confidence leading to transaction inflows of €42.7 billion into Funds.

Investors continued to practice caution with a preference for debt securities over equity assets.
