Israel is considered a global leader with respect to water innovation—it recycles 86% of its water and operates the largest desalination plant in the world at the lowest operating expense. Now Massachusetts, which already has almost 30 water technology companies that generate nearly $4 billion in revenue, is looking to secure its future as the U.S. home to water innovation. To that end, a delegation of Massachusetts academics, entrepreneurs, venture capitalists and policy makers will be traveling to Israel to foster partnerships with their Israeli colleagues, who are at the forefront of water innovation technology.
