The Parliament of Australia has announced that the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) Working Group on Bribery in International Business Transactions will be conducting its third formal evaluation of Australia's implementation of the OECD Convention on Combating Bribery of Foreign Officials in International Business Transactions (Convention) between June and October 2012. Australia ratified the Convention in 1999 but has lagged behind other countries in its enforcement of the Convention.

Transparency International publishes an annual report containing independent progress reports on enforcement of the Convention in respect of each of the member countries based on information provided by national experts reporting in each country.
