CESR and ERGEG have published the third part of their advice to the Commission on:
- how best to improve transparency of trading in the electricity and gas markets. The advice suggests a post-trade information requirement on all EU trading platforms; and
- what regulators should reasonably require undertakings to keep records of under the Third Energy Package.
However, the UK disagreed with some of the proposals, in particular it does not believe there is a case for trade-by-trade transparency in the relevant markets.
