On Thursday, the Wyoming Board of Land Commissioners will vote on whether to issue a lease for a proposed natural gas processing plant with carbon sequestration capability. Cimarex Energy Co. has proposed the $100 million plant be built in Sublette County. Cimarex officials believe that, if the plant is built, it would be the largest carbon sequestration project in the world when it is finished. Gov. Freudenthal said, “"It appears to me that the thing is moving toward a resolution that is positive for Cimarex and positive for the state."
