The European Parliament updated its procedure file on the UCITS V legislative proposals (which will make amendments to the UCITS IV Directive (2009/65/EC) relating to the depositary function, remuneration requirements and administrative sanctions). The proposals are due to be considered at 10 to 13 June 2013 plenary session. There has been a significant level of disagreement, lobbying and press coverage in respect of remuneration provisions. The EU Parliament's Economic and Monetary Affairs Committee (ECON) published its report (dated 29 April 2013) which contains a draft legislative resolution for the EU Parliament with proposed amendments to the UCITS V legislative proposals.
