FSA is consulting on draft guidance for ISA providers making financial promotions and on promotions aimed at investment professionals. It sets questions firms should ask themselves in relation to any draft promotions on ISAs and explains how it expects firms making promotions to the non-retail market to make it clear who the target group is. It warns firms against confusing the concepts of "investment professional" and "professional client". It asks for comments on its draft by 11 February. FSA’s latest industry update on financial promotions also highlights these issues, as well as giving guidance on image and brand advertising.
