Recently, the Home Office has been increasingly slow in managing sponsor management system requests, to the extent that requests for additional certificates of sponsorship can take months to be considered. This can have detrimental effects on businesses that urgently need to hire a migrant worker, as it can cause unnecessary delays to the application process.
To deal with this, the Home Office will be introducing a new premium service system for processing sponsor management system requests. Businesses will be able to pay £200 to the Home Office to expedite requests, such as increases in certificate of sponsorship allocation.
Specific details regarding how the service will work in practice will be released in due course.
